The trek starts from Nayapul after driving from Pokhara and it require gradual ascends every day towards the base camp en-route passing along beautiful villages like Ghandruk, Chhomrong, Dovan. Day 01: Pokhara to Ghandruk (1940m) 5-6 hrs
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek starts early in the morning with adrive from Pokhara to Nayapul and the trek to Birethanti. Ascending up from Birethanti will reach the beautiful Gurung village of Ghandruk. En-route enjoy some great Himalayan panorama and passing along small villages like Chimrong, Syauli Bazaar, Chane. The trail then crosses a suspension bridge over Khumlu Khola to finally arrive at Ghandruk. The village of Ghandruk offer superb views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Hiuchuli and others. There’s also a Gurung museum at Ghandruk which showcases Gurung culture and tradition. O/N Lodge.
Day 02: Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2170m) 4-5 hrs
Watch the early morning sunrise view over the Himalayas and after breakfast start the trek to Chhomrong. The trail first climbs up from an hour to Ghandrukot then descend to Kimron Khola. It then ascends steeply until reaching Chhomrong. Ascending up to Chhomrong en-route one can spot spectacular views of mountains like Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre. Though small but Chhomrong is a beautiful village located on the lap of Mt. Annapurna. O/N Lodge.
Day 03: Chhomrong to Dovan (2580m) 5-6 hrs
After breakfast, start the trek with the trail passing via Modi Khola and entering the wooded slopes of the Himalayas. Afterwards, the trail crosses a suspension bridge and ascends to Sinuwa Danda. It then passes through a dense rhododendron forest to arrive at Khuldighar. Now you will have to descend along a stony steeps into the deep bamboo and again rhododendron forest to ultimately reach Dovan. O/N Lodge.
Day 04: Dovan to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m) 5-6 hrs
Today, the fourth day of Annapurna Base Camp Trek involves gradually ascending following the trail above the river through the dense forest. The trail then crosses two streams passing along a solitary place. At this point, the sceneries become more beautiful and exotic. En-route some wild lives can be spotted like wild pigs, deer or even snow leopard. Later on you climb up to the Hinku Cave and after ascending further will reach Deurali. From Deurali, the trial climbs through a river bed to the mountain side. This is the avalanche prone area at some points of the trail so one has to watch carefully. Hiking further will reach Bagar from where the route leads to MBC. MBC commands great views of Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I & II, Gangapurna. O/N Lodge.
Day 05: MBC to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) 2-3 hrs & back to Dovan
This day is set for hike to the Annapurna Base Camp where the hike starts enjoying great landscapes and also spotting the snow boulders melting and forming small streams. The route widens up as it enters the sanctuary then it follows a stream and climbs to a small settlement area. Above the sanctuary, one can enjoy spectacular view of the southern face of Annapurna towering above the sanctuary. Upon reaching ABC offers majestic views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli and other mountains. Afterwards, return back to Dovan for overnight stay. O/N Lodge.
Day 06: Dovan to Jhinu (1760) 5-6 hrs
Today after early breakfast continue the trek towards Jhinu. The trail first leads uphill through a stone steeps to the ridge before reaching Sinuwa. It then drops down to a hill from where ascending will arrive again at Chhomrong. After trekking further from here will reach Jhinu for the night. O/N Lodge.
Day 07: Jhinu to Tolka (1700m) 5-6 hrs
Continue the trek from Jhinu to Tolka via a nice village of Landruk. The hike today is mostly downhill for the first hour then after a gradual up all the way to Tolka. En-route the trial passes through mustard fields enjoying great Himalayan view. Soon it reached Landruk and then Tolka. O/N Lodge.
Day 08: Tolka to Phedi via Dhampus 5hrs & drive back to Pokhara
The last day of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek and after breakfast start the trek from Tolka village to Phedi via Dhampus. In fact the entire region from Phedi is called Dhampus. Upon reaching Phedi, meet the vehicle and drive back to Pokhara.
